The aesthetic the show creates is wonderful. It's dark, it's complicated, it's very surreal. It crafts developed black characters in a universe where race actually exists (like, you know, reality). I give it four stars instead of five because so far the pacing feels a little off to me. It's a slow burn, but the series is only going to be nine half-hour episodes. The remaining three and a half hours of content don't leave a lot of time to develop and resolve the story. Hopefully that just means we get more!

It starts a little slow at times and is very surreal. What I don't like about is the over serious/frank approach to real life. The seriousness does add an extra element to the surrealism added to the show but at times fee like race baiting and lack luster. Can be a fan if you relate to real life or just plain situations. I inderstand it is meant for viewers outside of black people to get a birds eye view but framkly i thinl at times, what we know about black people is already presented in the show, nothin new to learn. 2.5/5 Ya boi, kevin

Like the show, hate the ads that FX embedded into the video file. We paid to watch Atlanta, not ads. Absolutely BS that they were allowed to do this.
