About this show

UNDER THE DOME, based on Stephen King's bestselling novel, tells the story of a small town that is suddenly and inexplicably sealed off from the rest of the world by an enormous transparent dome. It's been two weeks since the dome descended upon the sleepy town of Chester's Mill, whose inhabitants are still struggling to survive with resources running low as their search for answers to what the barrier is and where it came from continues. The post-apocalyptic conditions intensify while the residents must decide who to rally behind as new faces emerge and Big Jim continues to battle for the town's trust and allegiance. With survival hanging in the balance, can the residents of Chester's Mill work together to protect their uncertain future?

I made a good decision with this show. I bought the first two episodes to see whether it was worth paying for the series. Thank God I did. This show is AWFUL. Seriously. Interesting premise, but soon there's the same old cheesy story-lines, insane action sequences ( be careful with curtains and wallpaper folks, they are apparently made of petrol, so quickly do they ignite in this show to help the plot), terrible over-acting, massive positive discrimination (woman in charge of the police, woman journalist, woman radio engineer,) with the men in the show mostly reduced to corrupt, psychotic or cowardly characters. I'll check the gender of the writers and producers and possibly edit this review again. Take my advice: avoid this rubbish. Formulaic, predictable, and wasteful of a good premise.
