It is a great honor and pleasure for us at MERK to present a new edition of the Atlas of Assisted Reproductive Technologies, based on the original concept of Dr. Julio Herrero (Barcelona, ​​Spain). We would like to thank Dr. Julio Herrero for his initiative to create this useful patient education material, developed with sponsorship and collaboration with MERK KgaA, Darmstadt, Germany. Dr. Julio Herrero foresaw the need to create an Atlas that would help explain to patients the basic anatomy and physiology of the reproductive system, as well as the basic concepts of assisted reproductive technologies (ART), which are regularly used in modern ART clinics for the treatment of infertility. This new edition of the Atlas of Assisted Reproductive Technologies includes 3D graphics, videos and interactive models created electronically to demonstrate egg retrieval, embryo transfer and many other modern ART procedures.
