Catrie is a "jack-of-all-trades and mystery-solving detective" who solves mysterious cases that occur in London.
She takes on anything from finding a pet cat to guessing the culprit of a murder.
Her outlandish solutions to mysteries gradually become a hot topic,
and all kinds of requests start pouring in.

She originally started this job to search for her father, Hershel Layton, who had suddenly disappeared,
but as time went on, she began solving various mysteries around town.
Busy with daily requests, she hasn't made much progress in the search for her father, Hershel.

She has an assistant who helps her with her deductions.
Her assistant's name is Sherlo, and he's actually a talking dog.
So what kind of difficult mystery awaits Katrielle Layton?
