Ratings and reviews

It is just about impossible to compose an email message of more than one line anymore. The software will cause the cursor to jump around, insert random carriage returns, and shut off the keyboard. This started with the update that inserted emojis at the bottom of all sent and received messages earlier this year. Moving to another platform and hope this is fixed eventually. Some additional minor bugs, but this one is a deal breaker.

After a period of usage the app was nearly frozen and started looping to load email on a loop, I had to reinstalled the app. This is a drawback, else it performed as expected. It was easy to install aol.email. The configuration was automatically fast compared to others. Most recent ones did not even offered aol email or offered with a lot of advertising pop up all the times. This is why i can only give rating a 4 because of looping or frozen.

The app was great for the last 8 years, but recently there has been problems with selecting emails in bulk. All the emails selected have check boxes checked. But then if you unselect some of them intentionaly, the app will randomly unselect others that you wanted left alone. This unwanted behavior means it is slower to clean up your mailbox. That said, the app is still serviceable, and works well enough for now historic old AOL email hosting.
