About this game

Armello is a grand swashbuckling adventure combining three styles of play; The deep tactics of card games, the rich strategy of tabletop board games, and the adventure of fantastical RPGs.

As a hero from one of Armello's Great Clans, you'll quest, scheme, hire agents, explore, vanquish monsters, cast spells and face off against other players, with one ultimate goal in mind; becoming King or Queen of Armello! The Kingdom of Armello is as dangerous as it is beautiful. Perils, banes and bandits hide around every corner and a spreading corruption known as the Rot leaves no creature untouched.

• Easy to Play but Hard to Master: Armello is easy to pick up and experience, yet its deep and emergent possibilities emerge as you play. Includes acclaimed story-driven tutorial mode.
• Fast & Thoughtful: Adventuring in Armello is fast-paced fun filled with deadly, tactical and politically complex decisions.
• Multiple Playable Heroes: Each unique Hero possess a special power, stat line, AI personality and can be equipped with an Amulet and Signet Ring to further match your playstyle.
• Dynamic Sandbox: Gorgeous dynamic world which procedurally generates a new map each and every game, complete with a dynamic quest system ensuring no two games of Armello are ever the same.
• Turn-Based Day & Night Cycle: Use Action Points to journey across Armello's hex-based board and use our fuzzy turn-based system to play cards even when it's not your turn.
• True Tabletop Feel: We've spent years cherry-picking the best parts of the tabletop experience, like our physics-based dice.
• Animated Cards: Over 150 beautifully animated in-game Cards from artists all over the world.
• World Class Soundtrack by Michael Allen and internationally acclaimed artist Lisa Gerrard.

An excellent mobile port. Runs well and controls are rarely an issue. However I rather wish I could simply purchase the game in full rather than be greeted by a grind and "fun bucks" to unlock the other half of the base characters in the PC release. I understand this method probably earns more on mobile but it is off-putting that I must grind or pay to unlock a character I played a lot in other versions of the game. A one off payment to purchase all the base heroes at least would be welcome.

Not only do I rarely review games, but I tend to uninstall them after a day or 2 as I lose interest pretty quickly. I've been playing Armello for possibly 2 weeks now (for me, that's amazing haha) and I love the game. At first it can be difficult to learn, BUT HANG IN THERE! It's so rewarding once you finally get the hang of it. There's a mixture of luck & skill; the tide could turn so fast in this game, so keep your wits about you (only Armello players will get that joke 😁) Experiment with different load outs and learn to adapt to the constantly changing map. If you're running low on prestige, maybe go for spirit stones or find a way to kill the king. It's possible to win just when all hope seems lost (I've seen it happen against me and it sucked haha). River & Brun are my favourite characters. Happy adventuring!

I am not sure why some people say this game is unplayable on a phone. My phone is average, 5'2 and font is good, interface is fine, game perform remarkably well. Unless, you are playing on older devices and they are very small. Plus, there is a way to zoom in. The whole game plays like PC port, expect it is adapted to mobile market and devices. This game is probably the best board game as of recent and I hope to see many more in alike fashion to come.
