Backrs creates networked communities of supporters around individual young people – communities that affirm youth and give caring adults a rewarding new way to connect and share. If each and every young person had their own team of supporters: bumps would be less bumpy, and aspirations might be a little more in reach. So Backrs is making it happen!

Young people who join Backrs become proteges who receive a variety of resources from their personalized team of Backrs: money, knowledge, engagement, and connections. Young people also chronicle their journey and share updates with their team.

Adults in the Backrs community join a small team of backrs that provide resources and support for a protege, as well as a commitment to work with them towards achieving their aspirations.
