CaptChores is a mobile first app, available for smartphones and as a web application in the browser. The app is still in a very active development phase and the concept is continually being developed. Right from the start, it was a central concern to give potential users a say in order to decide together what was important or unimportant for the app. The app is created through the collaboration of all of us – developers and users.
To ensure that the core objectives are not lost sight of, there are a few firm principles:
1. Fun with photography: The focus is on the joy of taking photos. CaptChores is not a platform for video or audio content, but focuses entirely on the hobby of photography.
2. Free and Ad-Free: CaptChores remains free and ad-free. There are no payment functions or monetization strategies. If the project is not viable through voluntary support, this will be considered an accepted outcome.
3. Data protection: The protection of user data is the top priority. Only the email address and the freely selectable user name are saved. All other data relates exclusively to a user ID. The structure of the data structures is transparent and visible to everyone.
4. For amateur photographers: CaptChores is aimed exclusively at amateur photographers who would like to share images, view other people's works and take part in collaborative photographic tasks. There is no intention to grow beyond this target group.
