This is a terrible app. When I use it, close, and later re-open it, it shows a blank screen. I have to uninstall and then reinstall and re-enter user info. Then when I close it and re-open, I get a blank screen again and have to go through the install process all over again. This is very disappointing since PBS has some of the best programs available and certainly a much higher percentage of quality programming than any other streaming service.

It's not free. I thought I would love to watch as I am a history buff but when I went to play I had to join when having to join you cannot watch absolutely anything unless you make a donation monthly if 5$ or more. Unfortunately that is mainly blackmail. Advertised no in app purchases yet if you want to watch anything they force you to donate monthly more than $5 so you can watch. It pays to tell people up front if you want to watch a donation(purchase) to them is required.

Apologies for any confusion. Our app features a mixture of free on-demand content and live TV, with membership streaming, known as Passport. Passport streaming is available to members who donate $60 or more annually ($5/month). More information on Passport, membership benefits, as well has how to donate, can be found online, at kcts9.org/passport.

Tried the app twice hoping 1st experience was over come able. It's not. What good is it? It's like getting Disney. You can get it -the app- free, sure, but you can't watch anything unless you purchase a plan. Kind of underhanded. Even Netflix says up front its gonna cost you. Reduced from 2 stars to one

Some videos on the Cascade PBS app are restricted to members with Cascade PBS Passport (a membership benefit for Cascade PBS donors who pledge $60 or more annually). There are several programs on the app, as well as live TV streaming, available for free for viewers within our region.
