FSS PED ASSIST is an application that aims to support healthcare professionals and students in the functional assessment of children admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.
It is based on the FSS-ped. scale, initially developed by POLLAK (2009), translated and cross-culturally adapted to Brazil in 2018 by Bastos et al.
The app was developed by physiotherapists, together with a team of consultants and developers from the Health Technology Center at the State University of Paraíba.
When starting the functionality assessment with FSS Ped Assist, the user will see screens with the domains assessed by the FSS PED Scale, and select one of the alternatives that indicate the degree of dysfunction for each domain assessed. Only after selecting one of the options will you be able to advance to the next screen.
Each selected item corresponds to a specific score that will be totaled on the final results screen.
On the results screen, in addition to the total assessment value, the category of dysfunction presented is indicated.
