Set the call and call back on a laptop using their website. i did get a confirmation number on my phone to enter into the calling-bypassing-on-hold website, which seemed to work to validate my phone's existence, but then i thought to download the app using the same phone, and i tried to login on the app using the phone number login option, but the app did not seem to accept the phone number. WHY? Still waiting for the call to go through . . .

downloaded the app, attempted Verizon call. does not tell you what number is calling as I had the number blocked when it called, not sure why a GUI interface for a app is not showing the status of what's going on after you hit go. I think that's kind of ridiculous and I think it's ridiculous for you to think that people are not going to get confused with that. two stars because I guess it works?

I used to use their web version, it worked one time which was the first time I tried. Since then I've tried using this service several times but have not gotten the call they say they were waiting on hold for. I thought downloading the app might make a difference, it didn't. I wish it worked but it doesn't, at least not for me.
