As the Merchant, you are the commander of your own domain!

Blending together traditional RPG systems, management mechanics, and a fantasy overworld, Merchant aims to reimagine the traditional mobile RPG. In Merchant, players take the role of a shopkeeper who must manage a team of Heroes and Crafters. Heroes are sent out on quests in order to fight enemies and gather materials. Crafters then use those materials to create weapons and armor. As the shopkeeper, players must balance their micro-economies between selling items for gold and crafting items to better ensure success for the Heroes.

Ratings and reviews

I'm changing my review from 3 to 5 stars. This is a longterm grind game that is about leveling up by small increments. I initially found that too frustrating so I ditched it. Many months later, I've redownloaded it, restored my past purchases, and am loving the chill experience. So it depends what you want. This is a slow grind game. Know that going in, and you just might love it.

theres no other game like this out there. its such a good game. i thought the music would get annoying after a while but it really just adds to the whole atmosphere of the game. not sure I like the new maps but they are visually pleasing. the numbers on the corners of items are a little confusing though. is it the quantity, is it the level, I dunno. but fantastic game all the same! Edit Dec 2022: 7 years later I'm still playing and still loving it!

I really love this game, its a good time waster and ive played it for quite a while now. as much as i would love to leave it as 5 stars (as in my original review) theres quite a big issue i have. Even though cross platform save is now a thing, there is no option in any way to either restart in game without reinstalling, OR to use your google account to get your progress back on mobile. Ive lost a ridiculous amount of progress after getting a new phone before cross save was implemented.
