MotorPitchAnalyzer is an app for measuring small motor rotation speed in real-time.
Just bring the motor close to your smartphone's microphone for easy measurement!
You can improve accuracy by narrowing the measurement range.
The app shows the motor's maximum rotation speed based on stable rotation and frequency intensity.
You can also quickly check for shaft runout and brush conditions by viewing the motor sound waveform in real-time (※ for rough guidance).
Please measure in a quiet place for accurate results.

I'm glad I found this! I was watching my laundry tumble in a front loading washer and thought, "I wonder if there's an app to find out the RPM of that drum." Turns out, I can get the approximate RPM of the motor from sound! That's awesome! As an electrician, I'll be sure to exhaust all the possibilities of usefulness this app has! Thanks to you! ...Crazy side note... it picked up my heartbeat and ticking wall clock in an otherwise silent room!

i have tried everything. the latest update does not work anymore. 04/10/25. will the developer give me advice on how to get a working app again. i manage to find a older version. and it still works. its just the update that doesnt work.

最後に試していただきたい事が２点あります。
１．アプリを一度アンインストールし、再度インストールしてください。
２．アプリ起動後、マイクの使用権限を「許可」してください。
この２点を試した結果、グラフが動かない場合、アプリの不具合となります。
アップデートを早急に行いますので１，２日お時間をください。
2025.8.12:
Galaxy S10にて最新バージョン(1.4.0)の動作確認が取れました。
Androidのセキュリティがアプリを数か月使用していない場合、マイク権限を取り消した可能性があります。
マイクの権限が許可されているか確認お願い致します。

Looks like a lot of effort was put in, but was inaccurate for mr. What is actually 1000 rpm or less measures as 5k or more. I tried sensitivity settings with no significant change.

This issue occurred on certain devices, including ASUS Zenfone 10 and GALAXY SC-52C. We've revised the recording logic to minimize discrepancies between devices. Please note that there are no changes to the RPM calculation logic itself, so you might not observe a difference depending on your device.

・Now compatible with Android OS 15.
