The new update is not great, it is a backwards step for the viewer. Besides the current bugs, the new version does not allow you to close adverts before viewing all of them (sometimes nine have to be watched!). I only use the app for catch up & not for live TV, if the app does not remember where you were previously, you have to watch more adverts! It appears that the strategy of the new app is to get the viewer to watch as many adverts as possible, to get the revenue in for Channel 5...

what a terrible app! just started using as it has some brilliant dramas on but there's no auto play on the next episode. 10 minutes of adverts making an episode of flowers in the attic over 2 hours long! you would think they'd learn from other streaming apps how to make a good service. but it's really hard to stay interested when you have to go looking for the next episode and have to watch a tun of adds.

Since the latest update on 16/10/24, the app will load OK. You can ask it to cast to chrome cast but as soon as you start a program the app crashes and shuts down. If you try and reload it, it will keep closing until the program you started to cast finishes. You can delete storage in settings which will allow you to sign in again but if you connect to chrome cast again to control the program it will crash and exit again.
