Perfect! Just the weather report from the NWS; no ads, no fluff, no bells, whistles, or BS to chew up battery life and phone function. It's great, and it's EASY. You can either let it find your location for you (and I don't) or just enter whatever location you would like the report from and it pulls it up the current weather, gives you the 10-day forecast, offers the forecast discussion, and radar. You can toggle between each with the tabs at the top. It's fast, it's smooth, and it loads refreshes on the last location's weather report that you looked at each time you open it. I wish more apps were designed with ease and function as a focus like this rather than around graphics and bloatware.

I really miss the old NOAA weather app. I use the widget because it has the most accurate temps, but the rest is lacking. You can't expand the daily forecast to get a better view or more info, there's no severe weather alert option and the radar is a joke. Radar is zoomed into a large portion of the country and I can't get it to show where I live. Hitting an arrow shows a different section of the country, not just a little further south.

I really value the written discussion on NOAA Weather widget app.. Also the forecasts. I do not like that it frequently will not load onto my phone. Message is.... " An error occurred retrieving the observation reading from the NOAA API. This problem usually resolves itself in a few hours..." Sometimes true, sometimes not true. Today, Dec 13, 2020, app has not worked for at least two days! What gives??? A few months ago I finally uninstalled/installed that app a couple times & it then finally worked after a number of days. How about some reliability, please.

I am working on that. Looks like NOAA did something with their API. I have another tweak to the user agent header. I am hoping that helps. I do notice that when my device count goes above 20k, the API has problems.
