There is one reason for me to use nextcloud: to back up my files. And then the auto upload does not work (since forever and nothing is happening). I followed every community solution I could find (turn off battery optimization and so much more) and it's still not syncing. I cannot understand how this simple and most important feature is not working solidly. I don't care about all the other features if this is broken... I don't need an office replacement, I need an open source file share...

Quite good! Big room for improvement: when I create a new file in my Android file browser, that file is not recognized by NextCloud unfortunately, even when it is in a synced folder. In my textfile-based note taking app, I can't just create new text notes. I have to create them in the NextCloud client and then I can use them in the note taking app. It's a little cumbersome.

It works too some degree, but it really has some bad usability issues like: mark down display/editing is not nearly as good as in the browser. Larger downloads break for no obvious reason (power saving for this app is completely disabled / stable WiFi). But at least it works for small files like invoices in pdfs and it is open source. So I am still grateful for the service provided.
