Continued use of Location Services running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life. Nextdoor doesn't run Location Services in the background unless you give us permission by turning on optional features that require it.

Ratings and reviews

Refreshes my entire feed when I do literally anything. If I look at the comments on a post, when I return to the main feed, it refreshes. Same thing if I switch windows to answer a text message, look at someone's profile page, click on a for sale ad, etc. It even refreshed my feed when I muted someone without ever leaving the feed page in the first place.

Too many hiccups. They keep trying to improve the app but, at the same time, they destroy another aspect of it. People are getting disgusted. New problems everyday. Settings isn't working. Profile isn't working. A friend wanted to change their address but couldn't. I want to pick my neighborhoods, not have nextdoor pick them. I hide a post, it pops up again. It's basically when you shorten the post. You show the original post with a comment above the original.

UPDATE 06/24: With the recent update, they have made this app just about useless for its intended purpose. Now, you have to click on "Latest" at the top of your feed to see the most recent posts, but it will include posts from neighborhoods you are not following. This makes it impossible to get timely, pertinent info for the happenings in the actual neighborhoods that are relevant. So tell me Nextdoor, why even have the option to follow certain neighborhoods? This app gets dumber and dumber.
