Ratings and reviews

OpenSnow is constantly surpassing my expectations. I bought it just to keep tabs on snowfall totals at ski resorts, but every couple months I find out something new that it does that's completely out of the scope of why I originally purchased it (downloadable public land overlay is incredible!). I feel like I bought an app for a specific thing that turns out to do 1000 things I didn't even know I needed. It's incredibly valuable to anyone who likes to adventure outside.

I have been using this app for many years, but still no widgets on Android even though iOS has had it for years...and now they want $50 for a basic base plan subscription when they get all their weather data for free from the government. Why are you pushing for everyone to do group purchases to split the cost? why not just $10 or $20 per person and no weird group requirements for us people who are mostly solo? Stop adding so much stuff when 90% just want to look at one screen. Stick to Snow.

Too expensive. Replies to other posters say $30 is a small fee but it's not. Other apps charge $1-10 per year or lifetime even. You'd probably make more money charging less because you'd get much higher uptake if it were affordable (e.g 10/100 users * $30 = $300. 50/100 * $10 = $500). Oh well it was a good app while it lasted. I'd also be happy to pay $2/month or so since I don't need the snow forecast in July. Probably change your name though. Free and open software is free.
