Scrolling doesn't work well on long lists of podcast episodes. The player seems to work fine. I downloaded a bunch of podcast episodes and they un-downloaded for some reason. I like the idea of having statistics of listening. I'm halfway through listening to Reply All and it says "90 episodes unlistened" but when I open to try to see the list of episodes, it only lists the most recent 50 even though it worked yesterday and showed me all of them. Probably going to uninstall.

This is a fantastic app, when it's working. However, it hasn't been working well for about the past year or so. I reported the glitches on two separate occasions. I was instructed to update the app, to no avail. ;) Glitches: The time bar doesn't work and doesn't remember where you are after you pause. If you fast-forward through a podcast, there's no way to determine where you are. At the end of a podcast the podcast will inadvertently start replaying at an earlier point during the podcast.

I appreciated having a simple and straightforward podcast app, but in the last month or so it's become incredibly glitchy. I can build a queue, but when an episode finishes, the app almost always starts that episode over instead of going on to the next one. Sometimes when I pause and then unpause the episode starts over, but then when it reaches the end it jumps back to where I paused and keeps playing from there. Sometimes I can't pause and closing the app doesn't stop playback. It's a mess.

What's new

Away from Wi-Fi and your downloads are stuck? You can now force a download even on mobile data. Just tap “Force download” to resume a paused episode.
