About this app

Use the app to program and control the Proton smart tennis practice machine from Hydrogen Sports (you must own a Proton to use the app). With the app you can easily run the built-in practice routines, or create your own with just a few taps. Select a target, spin and speed and the Proton takes care of the rest. The app also allows updating the firmware of your Proton when new versions are available.

Much more flexible and convenient way to control the Proton vs the hardware controls. Easy to start/pause/stop and change programs. Only wish there was a way to keep the screen unlocked while running the app - or have some kind of lock screen widget: can take a while to unlock the phone when you want to pause, and meanwhile it's shooting balls at you 😛

There is no way to start/pause a program with a shortcut key, like a volume key, a Bluetooth remote, or a watch. You have to run to your phone, open the app, and tap the button on the screen, while tennis balls are shooting at you. How is something so simple and obvious overlooked?

Seems like the recent update (1.0.8) broke bluetooth connectivity for some users. After this update I'm no longer able to connect to the Proton, rendering the app useless. I know at least one other Android user is dealing with the same issue.
