RESET Collection is a sleek, customizable frontend for your retro game ROMs. Automatically fetch art, screenshots, and game info from online databases, then curate your collection your way. All in one beautiful UI!

In order to do this, you will be guided through an easy step-by-step process to select a directory that holds your ROM files (such as .iso, .gbc, .zip files) so that the app can automatically read data information from the ROM files in order to retrieve meta data and images to build your collection of games! Please allow RESET Collection file access permissions in order to be able to read and manage your ROM files!

If you already have videos and box art, screenshot, and logo images of your games that you downloaded using your PC and retro gaming video and image downloading software (such as Skraper), then you can move those media files located in the folders with your ROMs anywhere on your device's storage. You can then set your saved media as box art and backdrops for each of your games and systems by selecting "Set artwork/video snap for all games" from the system menu of any of your collections!

Now you can sit back, relax, and scroll through your awesome collection of retro games. When you're ready to play a game, SELECT it to launch it with your favorite emulator installed on your device!

Don't know what game to play? Let RESET handle it for you with the PLAY RANDOM GAME option! You can even filter the random games by system, date, genre, and title keyword!

If you choose an emulator that isn't installed on your device, RESET Collection will take you to the Play Store page of that app. NOTE: Some apps may no longer exist on the Play Store, but will remain supported in RESET Collection for those that still user those emulators on their devices.

IMPORTANT NOTES AND TIPS FROM THE DEVELOPER:

* The game screenshots displayed in this Play Store listing are not from games intended for play with the displayed system. They're shown for promotional purposes only, as they are games with art images that are free to use.

* For best results when downloading game data and artwork from the online database, please make sure your game file names match the original game name. As a good rule, match the game name to its name on popular online video game databases and wikis.

* My goal is to keep the UI and user experience as streamlined and simple as possible, and in this pursuit I might be missing some features that you really want. As I hear from the community on these desired features, I'll make sure to add them in future RESET Collection updates.

* I'm trying my best to have all of the included emulator options tested and working perfectly! I appreciate all suggestions on missing emulators, and I thank you for your patience as I add supported emulators, as well as fixing any emulators that may not be launching perfectly.

* Supports touch screen and gamepad navigation! But some things to consider:
# To bring up the game/system menu:
- For touch, long press the system or game box art
- For gamepad, hold down the action button
# To scroll the game description:
- For touch, swipe up and down
- For gamepad, use the shoulder buttons (L and R)

Ratings and reviews

RESET works well with retroarch but third party apps launch to the external apps menu to choose a game not directly into the game which defeats the object of having a frontend to launch games when another app acts as the middlleware or launcher, it also doesn't include half of the classicboy 64bit (classicboy pro) emulators, so you can't launch half your games in classicboy with it??? It does have tonnes of customisation, you can change art/add single music tracks even albums which is cool.

RESET Collection has me giddy with excitement for the possibility of having my retro collection all in one place on my TV. The great. It let's you choose between several backgrounds, box art etc for systems and games, giving you the ability to choose the aesthetic that best suits your tastes. You can also add your own. It's snappy to navigate, this is on an Nvidia shield TV PRO 2019 mind you. Not so good is that it can crash scraping large collections. Can't rescrape systems or games.

Works ok but not very configurable. If you like the theme your good to go but there is no real theming. I don't want half my screen showing a picture of the console with enough space left for a single line of roms. Looks nice for the first couple of runs but after that I'm only interested in the roms. Nintendo switch is also not supported.

- This update improves compatibility with Android devices that don’t come installed with the Google system file picker - especially Android TV devices like Xiaomi TV Boxes and Sony Bravia TVs. If you’ve had trouble scanning for game files, images, or videos, this update should solve that issue by adding full support for devices without the stock file picker app.
