Ramaini is a way by which a couple can get married in 17 minutes. It is a way of marriage followed by disciples of Sant Rampal Ji Maharaj of Satlok Ashram, Barwala. For people getting married by way of Ramaini and also in general, it is prohibited to give and accept dowry. Similarly any kind of ostentations are prohibited. There is no extravagance on any kind of function or celebration. Simplicity is followed and the bride goes to the groom's house in the same set of clothes she arrived in after a 17 minute recitation of ramaini.
Ramaini refers to recitation of speech written by Sant Garib Das Ji Maharaj who was a disciple of God Kabir. It takes approximately 17 minutes to conclude. In those 17 minutes, apart from reciting the glory of Supreme God, all the Gods, Goddesses and deities are remembered.
