Ratings and reviews

Volume control is bad. My experience is mostly with the Reading Eggs lessons. The audio at the end of each lesson that says "Well done!" or "Congratulations" is really loud, but the audio for the actual lesson is very low. And for some lessons, we can't listen to the question again! It's really frustrating for small kids. Otherwise, the lessons themselves are well planned and designed. If audio issues were fixed, it would be so much better.

My two year old enjoyed playing the games on the app. For the games where he had to pick the correct letter or number he would purposely choose the wrong one because he thought the sound it made was funny, so that was a little frustrating. The app would also regularly glitch. It would freeze in the middle of the game, play the sound for the next activity, but only show the background, and was generally glitchy. The app was installed on a "compatible device" so it was rather annoying.

Reading Eggs is an absolute gem! I had no idea how to introduce my child to the world of ABCs, but this app has completely blown me away. The way it presents learning is fun, engaging, and perfectly tailored to young minds. My child stays interested for long periods, and I have already noticed a big improvement in her ability to recognise letters, understand phonics, and start identifying words. Highly recommended for any parent looking to build a strong literacy foundation.
