The official Rust companion app from Facepunch Studios – stay connected to the game so you never miss an important moment again. Coordinate with your team, receive alerts when you’re being raided, remotely set off traps, and more!

Requires the Rust game - available on PC and macOS. Rust Console Edition is not supported at this time.

PAIR WITH YOUR SERVERS
Pair with your favorite Rust servers to receive real-time updates for the things that matter the most: player counts, current game time, online teammates, and more. You’ll also get (optional) push notifications whenever one of your teammates joins the game.

EXPLORE THE MAP
View the full server map to find points of interest, see where your teammates are and check on vending machines. You can also track ongoing events like the attack helicopter and cargo ship.

KEEP UP WITH YOUR TEAM
Communicate with your team from anywhere to just catch up or plan for your next raid. Messages are visible in both the app and the in-game team chat so you can seamlessly switch between the two.

CONTROL YOUR IN-GAME DEVICES
Connect Smart Switches and Smart Alarms to your in-game electrical contraptions and pair them with Rust+ to control them remotely at any time. Smart Switches let you turn things on or off, and Smart Alarms send customizable push notification alerts when an electrical signal is detected.

Ratings and reviews

The idea is great but the execution of late has been poor. It can be incredibly difficult to pair a server to the app and when you do it will send you notifications, usually, but when you go into the app to view a server it will often say the server is offline. It definitely needs work and this could be an issue with a servers host but you'd think this would be worked out. So far as I can tell Facepunch doesn't/hasn't commented on these issues.

Even when the app is up to date (from within the app and the play store) Used to work fine. I now just live without it. It makes me reconnect my steam account every week or so, and I get the "server unavailable" crash, no exaggeration, every 15 minutes or less when the app is open. I guess the one positive is there's no need to waste tech trash on smart switches anymore. Wish this app actually worked, especially since it used to.

The app doesn't connect most of the time to servers. Very unreliable. Especially when I'm getting raided and need to access my smart switches. This even happens on my own Shockbyte server that I purchased thru the Facepunch link. I can add. A device but forget having access to anything. You can't even look at the devices that you just added. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled and no change 👎👎👎
