It does the trick nicely. I have been using it for years now. I spent too much time wondering what it actually did, but once I read about the nuts and bolts, I was more confident about selecting the options that suit my needs. B4 running it, I delete everything I can possibly think of, run AVAST CLEANUP then let SECURE ERASER clean up after me.

It worked for me not sure why people are having issues. I used a deep recover after it was finished overwriting and I had found nothing but some random stuff on there like cat videos (same video(s) multiple times) and some weird things though that seemed to be of a brown carpet with flowers in some sort of building not really sure what it was, also slot of game ads were there too. But yes it seemed to work for me and I feel safer and more assuring that my data was erased. $wag🥶

The app works correctly. It filled my 40 GB storage with random data and then deleted it so that if I lose or sell my phone, the other person won't be able to recover data. Many people posting negative reviews don't exactly know the way this app works. To them, it won't free up any storage for you. It's just to securely erase your deleted files so that they become recovery proof.
