Ratings and reviews

Update: New update fixed it. Hopefully they calm down on the "improvements" Previous: Always excellent but now broken. Search begins and just keeps looking with no result. "This is tough, last try" on each lookup now. Last update broke it I guess. Hopefully gets fixed soon. It's always been reliable, but gave it two super easy ones to double check and still nothing. The more recent feature where if it doesn't find it when you search initially, it'll look again later hasn't notified me either.

I'm listening to music internally on my phone using Bluetooth headphones. There's also loud music playing extrrnally (loud gym). I use popup Shazam to identify internal music (what it's supposed to do). It completely ignores my internal music and focuses on what's playing at the gym. Rather than having dedicated buttons for internal vs external music, this app has some nonsensical priority algorithm that you cannot control.

One of few instances where Apple willingly shares a free software for the better of all users, even android. It's free, it gives you a free 2 month membership of Apple Music if you decide to use it, and best of all, you can use it to identify music on videos which otherwise don't credit the music creators. I'm not a fan of Apple, but if they keep making apps like these that are for the better, for everybody, then my outlook on them would significantly increase.
