Stable Ground is a free, confidential online portal with resources and support information relating to alcohol and other drug use. We aim to empower and equip people with the knowledge and tools they need to maintain a stable and fulfilling life.
This Stable Ground companion app provides easy mobile access to two portal resources, the Online Community and the Steady program.
The Online Community is an anonymous space for Stable Ground members to share, connect and support their peers. The Community is monitored by professional clinical moderators to ensure it is a safe space. On the Stable Ground app, you can make posts, like and comment on others, and message moderators.
Features of the Online Community:
● Share your experience and feel heard in a non-judgmental environment.
● Encourage and support others.
● Receive support and encouragement.
● Share information relating to management of alcohol and other drug use.
The Steady program includes helpful tips and information and interactive activities to support any changes to your substance use you are trying to make. With user-friendly features, the app offers a range of tools and resources including self-reflection exercises, information about coping with cravings, activities to build your problem-solving skills and many more.
Featured activities of the Steady program:
● Decisional balance – explore the pros and cons of changing your substance use.
● ABC activity – guided cognitive restructuring with examples.
● Structured problem solving – 6 steps to problem solve.
● Identify high-risk situations – and learn strategies and skills to deal with them.
● Personal prevention plan – create your own prevention plan for your high-risk situations.
Whether you’re looking to stop, reduce or change your substance use, Stable Ground can guide you to make any changes you want.
