Works as intended. I was able to make Amiibos with rewritable RFID chips using this app. As long as your phone has NFC capabilities you should be able to use this. One really annoying thing is on default settings it's constantly opening itself when it reads your cards in your pocket. Expect this app to be open whenever you unlock your phone if you don't disable the setting. It also kills battery so turn it off asap.

Actually, the app specifically targets the compatible NFC formats, so it sounds like one of your cards happens to also use that format. Payment cards typically use a different one. As a precaution, the option to disable that feature was added almost immediately after the feature itself. "Automatic NFC Setting" at the top of the setting page.

It worked when it first came out, it was amazing then. But after redownloading the app, following every instruction, watching tutorials to make sure, it no longer works. No matter what I do or files I download (I've tried several) it will just not work. The amitools just will not find the missing info for either part it needs. It used to be so easy to use. All you had to do was download a Google drive file and you could even use it directly on the switch instead of forcing you to write it a tag

Keys have always been required and it's never been possible to use it directly on the Switch without writing a tag. You had to load each file individually back then. The app has improved significantly since then, but it's normal to remember it how you wished it had worked.

The amiibos aren't working. I used tagmo like 5yrs ago to make a few amiibos and it worked great so I'm trying again I have the right tags, the right bins, the essential files for reading the bins, and a samsung 23. All the right equipment but it's not working on my switch. I tried using the report/help but it just goes to a guide page which I looked through and idk what's wrong other than the app itself not writing the amiibos correctly.

Unfortunately, the reason a guide opens when you attempt to report the issue is that there is no issue with TagMo to report. The cause of your issue is that some cheaper tags do not make a good connection with the Switch, which has a weaker NFC than your phone. You could try tilting them, as many report this improves reading. Best of luck!
