VCMI is an open-source engine designed to recreate and enhance Heroes of Might and Magic 3. It’s a complete rewrite from scratch, bringing new features and extended possibilities to the classic game.

VCMI mods are accessible through the built-in launcher included in the latest version.

More updates that further improve the engine/emulator. Thanks VCMI team for keeping Heroes alive. Looking forward to more improvements and features. Keep it going! Also for the love of God ppl, this is an emulator, you need the original heroes 3. Google needs to do some stupid-filters to clean up 1 stars for not having the game -_- Updated 2025, still worth 5/5.

This is a new review of an already five star effort. First, cannot thank the VCMI team enough for continuing a passion throughout these years. My previous review was nearly nine years ago!! I grew up literally playing HOMM with family and friends. And I play with my son now. So their passion project is incredible. The feature that were added to the 1.4 version is mind blowing and makes this their best effort thus far. This may be the final version anyone needs. It's that good.

Unexplained Relative Cursor Behavior. Struggled to use relative cursor behavior for a while until you understand some unexplained behavior. Left side of the screen is for moving the cursor. Bottom right side is for leftcl clicks. Top right for right clicks. Can this be customized or at least explained? Cursor is also hard to see and not constrained to your screen. Easily lost it several times in a row forcing me to close and relaunch.

- Added spell research (requires HotA mod installed)
