Visual Health Detective enables individuals to self-screen or non-ophthalmic personnel to perform eyesight tests using a smartphone from the comfort of their locations. It features a fully automated test and random sequences of objects for an individual to acknowledge if seen. The sequence of all tests follows simple-to-understand steps, including:
* The user sets test parameters such as far or near test type, with or without glasses, and left eye, right eye, or both test
* The system presents a stimulus on the smartphone
* The user responds by indicating the directionality of the stimuli
With VHD, users will be aware of the following information:
1. How far or near can you see clearly – Visual Acuity
2. The ability to see details at low contrast levels – Contrast Vision
3. Know if there are blind spots in vision – Surround Vision

The release comes with three modules: Visual Acuity, Contrast Vision, and Surround Vision.
