Fan itself so far is quiet and nice and works well with the blue-tooth controller that comes with it. Now for the actual WiFi app and/or controller. Either I have a bad unit or the implementation is just bad. I've tried factory resets (3 button) and the WiFi reset (2 button) and power cycle. I would see the default WiFi come up, then just vanish. Many tries later, I would eventually be able to join it to my local 2.4 GHz band thru the app. It seems to say it has it...then no connection in the app. Going to "Device Info" and trying anything says "Device is not found locally". 2nd time trying the WiFi. Honestly, it is stupid really and don't need WiFi, but now it is annoying. Ceiling fans really just need to stay dumb...and basically what this app is.

Poorly made and designed app. The UI is terrible. When add fans, half the time I had to stop the app and try again to get it to stop waiting for a network change event. The integration with Google Home doesn't work. I tried three times, a mix of 'failed to contact WAC' or 'No devices found on account'. One morning the devices were there but all showed off and controls didn't work. Currently they all show up but as 'unavailable'. Fire your software engineer firm. Hire a new one. Start over.

When the app is configured it works great. The initial configuration, though, is a problem if using Android 12. I had to use an old Android 9 phone to use the app to connect and update the fans receiver firmware and the Bluetooth remote's firmware. I then used the user sharing feature to use it on the Android 12 phone. Also, FYI as it's undocumented, you must put the remote control in broadcast mode by holding the two down arrows until the red light blinks to update the remote's firmware.
