About this app

Optimize your WiFi network using WiFi Analyzer (open-source) by examining surrounding WiFi networks, measuring their signal strength as well as identifying crowded channels.

Users' privacy and security is a huge concern these days and WiFi Analyzer (open-source) is designed to use as few permissions as possible. It asks for just enough to perform the analysis. Plus, it is all open source so nothing is hidden! Most notably, this application does not require access to internet, so you can be sure it does not send any personal/device information to any other source and it does not receive any information from other sources.

WiFi Analyzer is under active development by volunteers.
WiFi Analyzer is free, has no-ads and does not collect any personal information.
WiFi Analyzer is not a WiFi password cracking or phishing tool.

Notes:
- Android 9 introduced Wi-Fi scan throttling. Android 10 has a new developer option to toggle the throttling off under (Settings > Developer Options > Networking > Wi-Fi scan throttling).
- Android 9.0+ requires location permission and location services to perform a WiFi scan.

Good App for sorting out the radio layer of wifi access points. Simple, quick and accurate and without Ads. When neighbour trolls set up 5 access points the other side of a party wall, jumping to a different frequency band and/or channel just sidesteps their digital noise in a few minutes. Thank you guys so much. You rock! I feel rude giving 4 stars but the extended features and graphing in the interface are hard to interpret.

The devs on this app do great work, unlike all the other trash apps out there with obnoxious and intrusive ads. No ads on this one, just analyzing 2.4, 5 and 6 GHz. Simple and efficient. Keep up the good work, devs. We appreciate you. You should be the ones at the very top of the list when people search for wifi analyzing apps, not all the other garbage apps.

This covers the essentials for a hand-held Wi-Fi analyser app but I would like to see a feature that identifies if a particular access point is a multi-band unit and groups the "bands" together for that physical device. This is to make it easier to know the output from that AP on each band and comparatively assess it against other APs in the network. It is something I would keep on my smartphone and tablet for use when troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks.
