2/5 stars for this one. was going to post a classified ad, had detauled pictures (which is somewhat important when you want to sell an item and be fair to the buyer) and it popped up with photo credits. Photo credits? The app already monetizes using ad-impressions, but I'm supposed to pay, so more users are driven to engage them? Sorry, not going to be the content that gets directly and indirectly monetized. Pick one, you can't have both.

Paid for premium features in the hope this platform isn't as dead as a dodo. Even with the addition of featured listings the site seems predominantly inactive and void of users in my local area, apart from a few second hand kids clothes and unwanted brick a brac. Shpock is definitely not what it used to be for local trading. Maybe it's a sign of the times. Who knows. Listings get lost between endless TEMU ADS that ultimately drive potential buyers away. 🙄

Shpock - Now not a viable business model. Use Shpock very occasionally to buy and sell the odd item. Today tried to list a dryer but now asking for a fee. Probably explains why the listings have reduced by 90%. Sadly a catastrophic move on behalf on the founders of Shpock in an age where apps are increasingly receiving income from adverts only and subscription models are out of favour. Once a great little app. Subscriptions and fees counter productive when you lose 90% of your user base?!
