About this game

This app is inspired by the old Tamagotchi keychain pets from the 90s. What you do is care for a virtual pet like you would a real one, by taking care of its needs. You will need to feed it, play with it, wash it and discipline it. The buttons surrounding the pet are used to interact with it. As the tamadroid becomes older it will evolve, and what it turns into depends on how well you care for it. There are a total of 22 evolutions, can you find them all? Tip: Experiment with different levels of happiness, discipline and weight.

This app runs an optional background service, so battery life is only affected if the service is enabled. Without the service, closing the app shuts it down like any other. The pet's current state on shutdown is saved, and when the app is reopened it calculates what the pet did in the meantime. You can turn off your phone and use it as usual of course. By accessing the settings menu you can choose when the pet sleeps and wakes up, the desired background image and whether evolutions should be random, among other things. You can also pause the pet, if you need some time off.

*To those complaining the app has frozen: Your pet has died when it either becomes a tombstone or an angel, and you can no longer feed or play with it. At this point you should reset it.

I don't know of updates are still being made to this game. On newer phones, such as the Galaxy S24, the touch interface REALLY lags. I have to repeatedly tap options over and over again to get an item to work. I've been using this app for years off and on on different phones, and this seems to be a new problem with newer phones. Other than that, very enjoyable, very much like the old tamagotchis. Fun when you want a little bit of nostalgia!

Very cute! it has satisfied my nostalgic tamagotchi craving lol i love that i can pause it if im working and such. i found the animations for feeding and stuff are fairly slow and cant be skipped, so if the pet is very hungry it takes a long time to fix that, which only sucks during short breaks (pause feature 👌) it keeps the pixel look of OG tama, which would have been better in a smaller screen. a home widget would be cute too!

Really cool! Only complaint that I have is the touch control is wonky. When playing the mini game, pressing the arrows can be off.

What’s new

Recompiled for the latest Android API versions. Fixed an OpenGL issue in the previous version, which gave a blank white screen for some users.
