About this app

News doesn’t happen in the newsroom. With AP ENPS Mobile you can take your newsroom with you wherever you go. Remotely monitor assignments, rundowns, and wires; write and edit stories; upload media; and message co-workers with a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop. Any changes made in the newsroom are automatically displayed on your device -- no need to hit "refresh."

The included Tablet Story Viewer (TSV) lets anchors and reporters read and edit stories directly from their tablet and stay in sync with rundown and story changes automatically. All TSV content is cached on your device in the event your connection to the server is interrupted.

AP ENPS Mobile caches your user credentials letting you login quicker and stay logged in.

Note: This is not the AP Mobile news application. It is part of the AP ENPS news production suite and requires your organization to have a properly licensed and configured AP ENPS system with ENPS Mobile v3 or later. Your AP ENPS System Administrator will provide your server settings and authorize your use of AP ENPS Mobile.

First, for everyone who says you can't log on/create an account, this app is not a generic AP news reader app. It's for people who use ENPS to produce their newscasts. If you don't know what that is, this is not the app you're looking for. Otherwise the app is okay for what it does, but it really should do a lot more. First, it doesn't allow you to do any more than visiting your stations mobile ENPS site in any web browser. Second, it's fine for viewing scripts on set or in the field, but editing is slower and clunkier than it should be, and there's no way to add stories directly to a rundown or move stories around in a rundown--both would be nice for producers. TL;DR It's good for reading/reviewing scripts but not much else and the app is not really necessary as you can just use a web browser and go to your station's ENPS mobile site.

Hasn't been updated since 2016... should speak for itself. The web version on the computer stinks as well. Now your customers rely on it more than ever while working from home and you won't bother to improve. Dissapointed. You can't edited anything in the rundown. I, as a video editor, have to email my producers, just to tell them I'm working in an assignment because I don't have the ability to put my name down in the rundown. It's bizarre. You put such little effort into this It's ridiculous.
