This review is for "Deer Plus" but I wasn't able to find it so I'm writing it here since this appears to be the same developer. The app would net another star (at the very least) if the its UI didn't sit under the phone's universal nav bar located at the base/bottom of the screen. This poor design makes it impossible to select buttons located at the bottom of the screen. Btw, if there's a setting to bring the app to the front or minimize the nav bar, I can't find it. Thanks for bringing this to our attention and sharing your device info. Sorry for the UI issue with the nav bar—this isn’t the experience we want for you. Could you send us a screenshot of the problem at hi@lingodeer.com? That’ll help our tech team fix it faster. Really appreciate your help! — LingoDeer Support Team

100% worth it, this app is perfect. People don't get the idea of using an app as a resource. It's not about learning everything from it - when you don't know where to start, use the lessons as a topics guide to look for more complex content later on when you need it. To me the hardest thing ever was figuring out what to learn first. My only suggestion is: Please add words contained in Story lessons on the Vocabulary tab as well, not just the ones from regular lessons :D Thanks!

It's a good app, but the reading exercises seem much more advanced than the lessons that come before it. There's a very large gap between the vocabulary used in the lessons and the one used in the follow-up reading and listening exercises (at least in the japanese course). The app lacks a bit in usability, being a bit confusing to use at first but you learn to use it properly with practice and time. The course material seems good.
