Definitely one of the best apps I've found especially for a language like Mongolian, which is not a language you can find on Duolingo (yet. One frustrating thing is the voice recording part of the learning. The app doesn't seem to pick up the voice very well and no matter perfect or how much you sound like the speaker, it will say you're saying something else and give you a bad mark. The silver lining is you repeat words and phrases so much trying to get the point so it's not all bad :')

I've lived in Thailand for the past 5 years and I've tried many different apps and courses to try to learn Thai. Its a difficult language! After giving Ling a go on the free trial, I found it was by far the best app for learning Thai. I found it perfect for my level of Thai, although if you are a complete beginner, it might be a little difficult to pick up as it also teaches reading and writing. Overall it's a great app and I definitely recommend giving it a go!

NOT FREE. Generally the lessons are pretty good, at least from what I can tell from the first two lessons that "taught" me 36 words. I can't do anything with that in real life, but sure. I understand that some apps need to charge, but then make it a paid app; don't lie about it being "free" when the free versions offers nothing but a pretty widget on my screen. I also wish I could have had the opportunity to start at a more advanced level, but I suppose that has something to do with payment...
