I love the app and the ability to quickly translate words within another app is neat. However, I was wondering if there was an option to set a default language. I only use the app for french to english translations but when I highlight a french word in another app it opens up the english dictionary and I have to manually switch to the French-to-English translator. If there was an option to set a default language that would be great. But other than that the app is great :)))

My only complaint: I really wish it had an option to work offline! WordReference is an amazing resource when learning a language - it's an excellent reference manual for definitions and conjugations, offers many detailed and nuanced options for a given translation, and has plenty of examples with full sentences. Rather than auto translating a full phrase and missing the nuance, it helps you deeply understand the specific word you're looking for and is invaluable to fill in knowledge gaps.

I'm just basically updating my rating from 2021. I still love the app and use it even more since I'm getting old and my memory is horrible. I've spoken Italian since 1982, I still forget how to translate certain words between English and Italian. I've found this app to be EXTREMELY helpful! Not only does it translate the word I'm looking for, but it shows how it's used in a sentence and many times, how verbs are conjugated, too. I highly reccomend it!!
