I've used this app for years and never had any problems. It's been great. But this last update has changed that. The "synching emails" with it constantly running in the background is killing me. I've noticed my battery is being drained way faster since this update. My phone says that this app isn't using any battery, but that can't be right. I never had to worry about my battery before this update, but since this has been happening, I've had to charge my phone way more often

I like to save important emails by Starring them, so they show in the separate Starred folder. They keep disappearing! Saved Drafts also disappear after awhile, too. So I updated the app to see if that would fix my issue - but now I have the syncing issue and notification bar icon that everyone else is complaining about. I'll monitor battery life, but that's absurd. I have Samsung BECAUSE of the great battery!

Okay!... That's it!!! You, yeah, you the developers of the app... You really messed it up! It was fine until you had to go in and "tweek it," and it's not a small tweek either. The app is always trying to sync when all the SYNC is OFF on the app and in the phone settings. First of all, put the SYNC control back in the phone/tablet setting under "Accounts and backup" and NOT in the app itself... in the Settings > Apps > Email > Email settings. LISTEN to all your user complaints!!!
