Android version of the desktop file manager Total Commander (www.ghisler.com).

Important note: This app does NOT contain any ads. However, it contains a link "Add plugins (download)" in the home folder. This is treated as an ad by the Play Store because it links to our other apps (plugins).

About the new permission "SuperUser":
This permission is now requested to make Total Commander work better on rooted devices. It tells the SuperUser app that Total Commander supports root functions. It has no effect if your device is not rooted. Root functions allow Total Commander to write to system folders like /system or /data. You will be warned before anything is written if the partition is write protected.

Top-Notch app.I use it on a daily basis.Drag & Drop files, transferring files via WiFi,two windows panels etc to just name a few features is what you would expect from a file explorer. A clean and userfriendly interface makes it a piece of cake to work with.It is almost unbelievable that this app and its plug-ins come completely free of charge and do not bother you with ads.👍 Best of all: It works flawlessly ! 😊😊 If I had one wish free:It would be nice if it were possible to give certain folders or internal/external memory/windows panels different backgound colours.These options could be buried in the settings. Anyway: Kudos to the developer for this brilliant app !

One of my favorite apps ever, on Android as well as on my PCs for many years. Why only 4 stars? There are frequent issues with restricted write access to my ext. SD card (Xiaomi Max2-Android 7). Usually I have full write access to the ext. SD card via TC, but more often than not it doesn't work anymore after a reboot and I have to reboot my device a number of times until it works again. To the dev: please solve this and I'll give you 5 stars gladly.

This file manager is in my opinion not always the most comfortable one to do file operations with. Yet it comes with a lightweight but fully blown media player under the hood that can play virtually everything, remembers my last listening position and even sports a working in-built EQ and other audio effects at the touch of the finger. Might look simple but is robust and versatile.
