Use pCloud Encryption as the vault for your passwords, financial reports or other sensitive documents. The files you upload to the Crypto folder will be protected with client-side encryption. This means that they will be encrypted before they get uploaded to pCloud. With pCloud's zero-knowledge privacy policy we, as a service provider, will not know what kind of data you store in the Crypto folder.

Ratings and reviews

It does what it is supposed to be with occasional hiccups (sometimes the service just didn't start in the background but it was linked to the desktop version). One star removal is mainly for the extremely annoying and dumb (because I already said I wasn't interested) notifications displaying repeatedly telling me how much space I could potentially free up. And please don't tell me that I need to switch this off because sending repeated notifications is a sign of a failed business logic.

I was about to purchase a family lifetime plan - as a photo storage, but decided to explore the features first in its free version. Well, it's not bad, but lacks some important features, as a photo storage. No dir. structure created by photo upload, eg year/month as in onedrive or next cloud, no AI search (object recognition), no geo tagging or grouping. These features are a necessary asset for families, including easy sharing of albums, which isn't there too. Could be a strong rival to GPhotos

I absolutely adore pcloud's non-mobile apps and services. I will continue to use them to sync content between my desktop and laptops. This app used to work perfectly as part of that, but for a while recently it has stopped functioning properly. I've been unable to upload content to my pdrive from my phone - the upload starts but hangs indefinitely. And now it says "content might be outdated, updating" but never updates, so I can't access the actual content in my drive either.
