Been a fan since the original kingdom rush. I can't see a good side in the new system, I'm not sure if they were trying to innovate or make more money. If you think about it you are limited now to a number of options, before you could choose two categories after a full tier three tower, now you must choose one tower type before going into battle, reducing your combos of tower from 8 to 5. I also expected new game modes and an encyclopedia.

Contrary to what a lot of other reviews state (with full respect to everybody's opinions) this instalment of Kingdom Rush is absolutely brilliant! The perfect blend of challenging and fun. Sure, there are a number of pay to obtain things such as (the usual) heroes, towers and extra levels. But there are discount sales packages available and it really wasn't too expensive at all. It's been value for money in my opinion. The game is crisp, clear and runs hell smooth. One of the best KR games yet!

Microtransactions gating gameplay Edit: By "gating gameplay," I, of course, mean that they limit you to a certain number of free choices for towers and heroes. The limited number of options at your disposal makes gameplay one note, repetitive, and stale. Who cares if you can finish the campaign if the gameplah is so boring that you won't want to. Version 1.15.7 is here, where some towers got a pep talk and bugs got the boot.

- Significantly buffed several of the weaker towers including Shadow Archers and Goblirangs.
- Fixed several bugs including graphical glitches, tower functionality and targeting.
