It's a great tuner. I appreciate how I can select each string separately, and it shows both a bar and the exact hertz I'm playing so I can get more precise tuning than I've gotten with other similar apps. The ads aren't bad, only showing up when I minimize the app and upon startup. They even let me mute the ads. If it doesn't work, it's your ukelele's fault. I've tried it with a cheap one, and the needle is useless. Upgrade to a $50 Kala Ukelele for better results.

Very good results when tuning, far more accurate than the clip-on that came with my ukulele. It sounds a lot better now, which really surprised me. Ads aren't that intrusive, but I decided to pay. £3.50 isn't a lot for something I'll use every day, plus no ads and automatic string selection is a bonus. I noticed the devs can be quite confrontational with more critical reviews though. This nearly put me off so I knocked one star off for that. How you respond to criticism really does matter.

Wow!! Very impressive. My ukulele has been sitting under my bed for the past year now and sounded horrible! But this app helped me tune it up in less than 5 minutes!! simple to understand and you definitely don't need the upgrade the simple version works fine😁 It takes a bit of fiddling around but in the end it will sound brand new!! definitely get the app😋😀😘❤
