the ease of doing quick edits of pics that you took on the phone without having to go through the transfer hassle to a PC is amazing. but not having every feature from the desktop application is the loss. it's a mobile app, but sometimes the ones that are missing is sometimes the most powerful tools we tend to look for and use regularly that exists in the desktop app

Lightroom is my go to photo editor. However I have just began using a Pixel 8 pro and has a serious problem that makes it so much harder to use and makes the use of all my filters pointless. Photos appear as they should in lightroom and gallery but as soon as you select one to edit it takes a few seconds to load up and the switches on this overly saturated look on the photo. It sometimes flickers to the original back and forth but this is a real problem. My pixel 6 pro version still works fine.

I have used this app for years and pay for it. Never had any issues with the mobile version which is what I use most. Gave 5 stars. At some point in the last month or two, the app is acting really strangely. When I choose a photo to edit, the image itself changes as if glitching before I've even done anything to it. Recently, after doing a bunch of edits and downloading to my phone, it downloads the original image, without edits. I don't know what changed but it is almost unusable at this point.
