Replaio is not a broadcaster, it is not a hosting service; it does not rebroadcast, store or retransmit radio stations.

Replaio is a web browser that plays publicly available audio content by redirecting the user to the broadcasters' servers and establishing a direct connection to those servers. The user's device connects directly to the public URLs of these servers to play the audio content. The servers are exclusively managed and supervised by the radio station broadcasters.

Users can listen to these radio stations, which they can access in any web browser, using the same public URLs.

Replaio works like other Internet radio devices and apps, such as smart speakers, Internet radio receivers, or Internet radio systems in cars. Replaio connects directly to broadcasters' servers to play audio content, similar to traditional AM or FM radio, which connects directly to broadcasters' transmitters.

Replaio Radio does not broadcast any audio ads before launching the radio. Regardless of Replaio, some stations may broadcast such advertisements.

Ratings and reviews

Paying for this app for a lifetime upgrade was a little expensive, but the ability to have a music alarm off of a radio station really appealed to me. Also the ability to scrobble to last.fm and add the current track to Spotify are amazing! The UI is really well done as well. After upgrading, I realized I could also add my own stream URLs, and added all my premium accounts... this app is one of the best I've ever used. Highly recommended.

-Nagging popup asking for subscription Above popup is unethically designed, giving the impression you don't have the option to opt out. The only option seems to be to subscibe, but in reality you have a well hidden "X", hidden against the background, in the top corner far away from the area were the user expects to make a choice (bottom middle) -Unethical design of options for collecting usage data/"cookie consent". Its design gives the impression of an informative popup and not an option.

I found this app as the alternative to another once very popular radio app that went rogue. This one has a neat design with an ergonomic interface, works great and promises some interesting features. Above all, even though the ads are discrete and not as annoying, I bought the ads-free license, as it was a one-time perpetual fee at a very reasonable price. Looking forward to the smart-TV version!!!
