If you're looking for an easy way to buy magazines and newspapers and share them with your e-reader, the search continues. It only shares the first few sentences and then a blurb about how it was shared with pressreader. Not exactly what I had in mind when I paid for it and created an account. I'm sure someone wants to read a newspaper off their smartphone, but not me. The create-an-account flow could use some work as well.

This app is usable on my mobile phone, but it's difficult to read some magazines on such a small screen. It's absolutely useless on a Kindle if you want to sign in with your library card because it won't let you sign in, it just says that there's been an error. This is really annoying because a Kindle screen is much better size on which to read magazines. A lot of people have left reviews about this, but the company has done nothing to solve the problem.

I used to be able to sign in to PressReader with my San Francisco Public Library account on my Boox Air 4C, but recently the app just hangs on the sign-in page. No matter how many times I tap the “Sign in” button, nothing happens and it never moves past that screen. I’ve tried restarting the app and the device, but the issue persists. This used to work great, so I hope the developers can fix this bug so library users on e-ink devices can use the app again.
