The Preventicus Heartbeats app measures your heart rhythm via your smartphone and helps you to identify and manage cardiovascular risks at an early stage. This certified medical device reliably detects signs of cardiac arrhythmias – such as atrial fibrillation – particularly when used regularly, with the aim of preventing stroke and dementia, amongst other things.
If any abnormalities are detected, the ECG-comparable analyses can be quality-checked at the Telecare Centre (included in the Value Package), thereby supporting a follow-up consultation with a doctor.

COMPREHENSIVE 360° HEALTH ASSESSMENT
The 360° Health Compass included in the Value Package also provides a comprehensive overview of your well-being and potential emerging lifestyle risks relating to cardiovascular health, mental health, metabolism and mobility.
This is achieved through targeted questionnaires, simple tests and advanced digital biomarkers derived from measurements taken via a smartphone camera. Subsequently, consistent, personalised recommendations tailored to everyday life help you maintain and improve your personal health and risk profile.

WHO IS IT SUITABLE FOR?
The product is aimed at health-conscious and proactive individuals, particularly those of middle age and above, but especially those with or recovering from pre-existing conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, cardiovascular diseases (stroke, heart attack, coronary heart disease) and sleep apnoea. It is also suitable for those with increased risks, for example due to being overweight or nicotine or alcohol consumption.

INTENDED PURPOSE
The Preventicus Heartbeats app is used to detect cardiac arrhythmias in the form of a suspected diagnosis, and to determine and characterise heart rate.
The following cardiac arrhythmias can be detected: absolute arrhythmia with suspected atrial fibrillation, extrasystoles and irregular heartbeats, heart rate with signs of bradycardia and tachycardia.
The result obtained is only a possible suspicion (“suspected diagnosis”), not a diagnosis in the medical sense. The results obtained are for information purposes only and under no circumstances a substitute for personal diagnosis, advice, care or treatment from a medical or medically trained professional.

Ratings and reviews

Updated: down from two stars to one. It is really difficult to get a reading, no matter what you do. Even while there's absolutely no movement, signal quality fluctuates wildly and there's nothing you as the user can do about it. The app won't tell you that it won't give you a reading until the 5 mins are up, seemingly to maximise time wasting.

I have been using the paid-for version of the Preventicus app. for a couple of years. The pulse rate recording has been accurate. Detection of irregular heartbeats also seems accurate in so much as the graph shows similar to what I can feel by manually checking my pulse. Before I started taking medication when my arrhythmia was at times severe, the graph showed just how bad it was. It is good to be able to easily view my previous recordings in the app.

Contact details? I really.like your app but was unable to find contact details and unable to change the email address associated with it. I wanted to use my playstore credit - hence wanting to change email address. From what I managed to see it looks good for the reason I wanted it. Only downside is that I cannot find any way to make it more accessible for visually impaired user (me!) Happily update review once I get back, and working out the accessibility issue. Thanks
