About this app

UserLAnd is an open-source app which allows you to run several Linux distributions like Ubuntu,
Debian, and Kali.

UserLAnd was created and is being actively maintained by the folks behind the popular Android
application, GNURoot Debian. It is meant as a replacement for the original GNURoot Debian app.

When UserLAnd first launches, it presents a list of common distributions and Linux applications.
Clicking one of these then leads to a series of set-up prompts. Once these have been completed,
UserLAnd will download and set up files required to start the task that has been selected. Based on
the set-up, you will then be connected to your Linux distribution or application in a terminal or
VNC viewing Android application.

Great app for running Linux on Android! Easy to set up, works smoothly, and supports many Linux distributions. Very useful for learning, coding, or using Linux tools without rooting. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a simple Linux environment on their phone.

It's ok... but get Termux instead. UserLAnd has problems: -mounting with your phone storage -Permission headaches -Storage translation layers -Extra latency -Cookie path confusion Termux is much better! It has: -Direct access to /sdcard -Native Android storage permissions -Cleaner environment -Multiple sessions -Way more stablility for heavy downloads. Deleting UserLAnd.

so far its everything I needed. A little learning curve as its been a while since I messed around with a Linux machine. getting root name and installing firefox was a bit of a pain. Just took some time. Firefox ESR need to have certain config files disabled if you experience tab crashing.
