Ads added to every chat, ads on the group screen, so much space is taken by the ads, it blocks one whole group from the list. It also blocks some messages. Video has been taken out. It feels like the app runs slower now. I wish I hadn't updated. This app is going backwards. It would have been better if it was shut down. Nobody is going to want to use this anymore.

Great, 'til it's not. Been using Kik for a long time, and never really had an issue. Then the adverts attacked. It is infuriating trying to get onto a conversation to be assaulted by these garish ads. Then to further the issues, I can't even open the app anymore. It starts to load then disappears with no error message. I've lost contacts and conversations I can't get back through other means. Several disappointed.

Editing my review again as I came back to try the app again. This app used to be my #1 communication app when not using discord or text. The Kin Marketplace is back, as are themes, but this app is a shell of itself. Functionality is minimal (used to be able to send multiple pictures at once, not anymore) and not only are there banner ads throughout the app, but fullscreen, unskippable ads when you're trying to talk to someone. Full screen ads when opening a chat is really off-putting.
