In this strategy card game, skill defines your success—not luck. Mix and match iconic champions, allies, and regions of Runeterra to unlock unique card synergies and outplay your opponent.

MASTER EVERY MOMENT
Dynamic, alternating gameplay means you can always react and counter, but so can your opponent. Choose from dozens of champion cards to include in your deck, each with a different mechanic inspired by their original League of Legends abilities.

Champions enter the battle as powerful cards, and if you play smart, they level up to become even more epic. Level your champions multiple times in-game, and earn Champion Mastery crests the more you play.

ALWAYS A NEW WAY TO PLAY
Every champion and ally in the game comes from a region of Runeterra. You have access to a collection of cards from nine regions: Demacia, Noxus, Freljord, Piltover & Zaun, Ionia, Targon, Shurima, the Shadow Isles, and Bandle City.

Explore how different champions and regions work together to give you unique advantages against your opponents. Combine, adapt, and experiment with frequent new releases in an always-evolving meta.

CHOOSE YOUR PATH
In PvE, each card you choose shapes your journey. React to unique encounters, earn and equip power-ups, unlock new champions, and rise to new challenges as you move across the map. The enemies will get stronger, but so will you—and you’ll discover different endings the more you play.

PLAY TO WIN, NOT PAY TO WIN
Earn cards for free, or buy exactly what you want with shards and wildcards—you’re in control of your card collection, and you’ll never pay for random packs of cards. While there’s always the option to purchase specific champions, you can easily complete your collection without spending a cent.

Victory or defeat, each battle brings experience and progress. Choose which region you explore first and unlock the cards that call to you, changing regions as often as you like. As you advance, you’ll collect new allies, spells, and champions.

Once a week, you’ll also unlock chests from the Vault. These chests level up the more you play, increasing the rarity of cards inside from common all the way up to epic. They can also contain wildcards, which can be turned into any card you want—no guessing required.

DRAFT AND ADAPT
Labs are limited-time experimental strategic game modes focused on more extreme changes to the classic Legends of Runeterra formula. Choose a premade deck with specific constraints, or bring your own. The rules are always changing, and sometimes you might need a little help from your friends! CLIMB THE RANKS
At the end of every season, 1024 qualifying Ranked players on each of LoR’s four regional shards (Americas, Asia, Europe, and Southeast Asia) will be able to compete for pride, glory, and a cash prize in the seasonal tournament.

But Ranked play isn’t the only way to qualify—you can also run the Last Chance Gauntlet. Gauntlets are limited-time competitive modes with unique rules to play around and exclusive rewards to unlock.

Ratings and reviews

First impressions seem good, alot of cards seem powerful and the different places feel very different so it looks like there will be a huge array of styles to mess around with. After a month or so I would say that this is generally a diverse and well put together game. The only criticism I would level is that sometimes matches can feel slow. It would be good to include a feature where running the clock down 3 times in a match results in an automatic loss.

A really great game! Stands out among other digital CCGs. The round system means you take your turns at the same time as your opponent. This means that you're never just sat around waiting for your opponent to take their turn, which really keeps the action going. The game can also be completely F2P, with IRL purchases mostly being for cosmetic items. Cards are fairly easy to obtain so it's not too difficult to make the decks you want to play. Lots of game modes also keep things interesting!

Short version: great game. You should try it and maybe you will fall in love with it in the same way as I did. Long version: I used to play Hearthstone, but stopped after realising how stupidly expensive that game is. This is much better. The reward system is generous, gameplay and art style are amazing. The game experience on PC is much better, but still acceptable on a phone. Text could be a little larger to make playing on a small screen on the move a little easier.

What's new

The Path of Champions, LoR's PvE mode, receives its biggest update yet with the new feature suite: Constellations.

This patch, The Path of Champions is getting:

- 30+ New Bundles
- 1 New Champion
- An expanded economy with new currency types

Constellations sets a new foundation for PvE by increasing the power ceiling for 20 champions, one of which includes a brand new champion: Viego.
